Fridge Clean-out
The Dreamer is inside of an unknown home. He is working with an unknown young Asian woman. Then he is cleaning out her fridge. He mops up some goo and reorganizes the top shelf. There is not much in there, in the way of food. She has beer on the top shelf, which he presumes is not hers. Then the woman remarks that her fridge has never been so clean. Then the Dreamer is having dinner with the woman. Then the Dreamer falls asleep in a reclining chair. Then some unknown people are watching him sleep.
Then the Dreamer is in the “dome”, meditating. He is sitting next to an unknown German woman. The unknown woman has items next to her. The Dreamer investigates the items: there is a small silver pin with an engraving on it of Adolf Hitler and a swastica. The woman tries to hide the items from the Dreamer. The Dreamer reassures her that it is okay, he is not judging her for that, but she says “nein” in a German accent. Then the Dreamer has some belongings that are mixed up with the woman’s items.
Then the Dreamer is inside an unknown house, caring for a little boy. They are rough housing with each other, perhaps a little too rough. Then the Dreamer is forced to separate with the boy for an unknown reason.
Then the Dreamer is in the line of a grocery store. He sees the same boy in a grocery cart, being pushed around. The boy recognizes him and they have a momentary embrace. An unknown male watches.
Then the Dreamer is in an apartment. An unknown young woman is watching her kids. The unknown man treats her and her children too roughly.
Then the Dreamer is in the grocery line, again. The Dreamer confronts the unknown man who is too rough. The man disappears.
Then the Dreamer sees is standing outside of a single family home with a nice stained glass door and new shutters.
Associations: reclining chair, reminds me of the type of chairs we had in my childhood home; the single family home entrance reminded me of my own present-day home.
Feelings: responsibility (to clean up the fridge), denial (that the beer is this woman’s, that the Nazi items are the woman’s), irresponsibility (falling asleep, playing too rough), curiosity (of the German woman’s items), acceptance (of the boy), anger (at the rough male), happiness (that the woman has moved on)
Interpretation: This is a purification dream. The Dreamer is “cleaning-out” some old memories; of a malnourishing, violent, and drunken mother, and a lazy and rough father.
