An Obstacle Course

The Dreamer is outside with his Wife.

They are on a goofy game show obstacle course. They are doing really well together, but then comes a part where the Dreamer has to push ahead and his partner has to watch their backs for competitors. The Dreamer has to move a chair through a serpentine water slide filled with white rice. The slide drops the dreamer and the chair into a pool of water. The Dreamer then has to lift the chair out of the water, onto a ledge. It takes all his strength. He knows that it was meant to be a two person task but he has done it alone.

Context: My Wife Nelina and I are excellent life partners, but sometimes I compete with her and rush ahead and do things myself that could be done just as well together with more time.

Associations: Water slides are fun.

Feelings: fun, competition

Interpretation: This is a dream about an attitude toward working with others. The obstacle is that the Dreamer prefers to “rush ahead and do things myself that could be done just as well together with more time”. The Dreammaker is suggesting that the Dreamer might not “win the race” if he works together with a partner, but that life would be less strain and more fun.
