Get Away from Me

The Dreamer is inside a residential building somewhere with a Femme Fatale.

The Dreamer and Femme Fatale are hugging and kissing. The Femme Fatale doesn’t like it and she needs to get some space from the Dreamer. The Dreamer, on the other hand, is expecting sex. He takes an elevator downstairs to catch up with the Femme Fatale. The Femme Fatale avoids the Dreamer, by throwing herself out of a window. The Dreamer is supposed to film it, but he only catches a few pieces of the incident. The Dreamer knows that this behavior is a stunt, but he still doesn’t want the Femme Fatale to hurt herself. Then the Dreamer follows Femme Fatale outside. This time she takes a knife and threatens self harm. She says she doesn’t know why but this is how she feels when she sees the Dreamer. This time doesn’t feel like a stunt.

Context: The Femme Fatale took the image of the younger sister of one of my friends, named Anna. I have known Sarah and Anna since college. We all spent time together this past summer in Tuscany, at Sarah’s wedding. My friend recently told me about how Anna was happy with her new boyfriend. In the moment, I felt jealous of Anna’s happiness with her new boyfriend.

Associations: I find Anna mildly attractive, and I feel guilty about that because I’m married.

Feelings: covetousness, danger, disappointment
