It’s None of His Business

The Dreamer is at an outdoor wedding watching an Unknown Woman from a distance.

The Unknown Woman is looking at something mischievous that the Dreamer has written, and she begins to laugh. The Dreamer is embarrassed. Then the Dreamer gets closer to investigate. It turns out that the situation is actually a business meeting between the Dreamer’s Wife Nelina and a different Unknown Woman. The Dreamer is sitting between the women with his side to the Unknown Woman. He gathers from context that the Unknown Woman was not laughing at his writing, but at the terms of a business deal that is none of the Dreamer’s business. The Dreamer admits to himself that this is not any of his business to be between the two women. When he does that, he moves his chair so that he is in a neutral position with respect to the two women, one on each side of him. Then the Dreamer gets up from this meeting and stands in line to get some food supplies.

Context: I recently went to my sister-in-laws wedding and wrote something slightly cheeky in her wedding book. And then I instantly regretted it, and didn’t sign my name. In addition to us sharing a business, my Wife also has her own business.

Associations: Grandma used to say, “mind your own business”.

Feelings: mischief, embarrassment, mistake

Interpretation: This is a dream about an attitude toward the wife. The Dreamer has been “cheeky” in the wrong situations; here about his wife’s business. The Dreamer is also not interested in his wife’s business. He turns away from her, and he’s more interested in gathering supplies. The Dreammaker is suggesting that the Dreamer take on a more neutral position, and be available.
